Have you ever had the heartbreaking experience of sifting through the ashes of destruction or despair? It’s what people on the East Coast of the USA are still doing, weeks, months after the aftermath of hurricane Milton and what Californians are doing in the weeks following the devastation of the windswept fires. The truth is we could apply that horrible image to every country in the world and almost every city. The ashes around our world today are really not much different from those down through history past…natural disasters; failed governments; powerful criminals; rebellious teenagers; broken promises and abandonment by those who had the power to help but didn’t.
Today’s Scripture: Jeremiah 17:9-14.
