If today you were asked, “what is an angel and why are there so many angels in the Christmas story?” I wonder how you would answer. As we continue our ‘one Christmas question per day journey’ toward Christmas 2024, let’s wrestle with that question: “WHY Angels”?
So, who or what are “angels”? The Bible tells us “Angels” are special beings created by God who appear all through the story of human history. Holy angels are sent by God from His presence to earth on specific missions. Hebrews 1:14 says: “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”
